Fed up of trying all these fad diets?

Getting you nowhere, sick of it getting in the way of your life! Lets change all that! I want to introduce you to IIFYM/ flexible dieting.

What is IIFYM (If It Fits Your Macros) /Flexible dieting?
You eat 80% clean foods meaning whole food non-processed and the other 20% processed foods allowing you to live a healthy lifestyle with still having treats here and there making it a suitable and most importantly a sustainable lifestyle. Some people have taken this to an extreme where you could effectively eat fast food every day and lose weight but just because you have lost weight on the outside doesn’t mean you’re healthy on the inside that’s why I prefer this approach. For example, the beauty of IIFYM is that if you’re craving pizza? or that ice cream cone on a hot summers day? or you’re going out with friends for a meal, you can easily fit it into your macros and still make progress and enjoy it all guilt free.

How to make IIFYM work?
All you have to do is work your TDEE and macros (explained in previous posts) track your food intake according to those macros. As you begin to keep doing this your concept of nutrition grows and you can look at foods and have a good idea of how many calories and whats its highest macro nutrient contents going to be. This allows you to enjoy all foods so you’re not missing out on anything.

For example, going out to a restaurant? Planning on having a starter, main and dessert. Oh wait that fad diet you’re on says you don’t have enough points or Syns for that, ask yourself is that a sustainable lifestyle or an enjoyable one? All you would do is leave a good amount of calories for it, basically estimating what you will consume its that simple folks when the nutritional info isn’t there you estimate.

Meal timing
This is a highly common myth that you must eat every 2 hours or you can’t eat anything after 6 pm or it will store fat. This is a load of BS you can eat all your calories for the day after 6 pm if you want to. It doesn’t matter so don’t stress about that, eat when you’re hungry.
