Alcohol has a lot of negatives and no positives for the body. Being teetotal myself, I find that society sees it these days as everyone should drink. If I went and did a survey asking people if they drink alcohol I think you already know the answer. It’s seen as the norm in society these days, your boring or weird if you don’t drink. I had this problem myself when I went to university, peer pressure gets to you and you just fall into following the crowd. That shouldn’t be the way it is, you can still go out and enjoy yourself without drinking, we don’t need it. You pay a lot to drink alcohol and it doesn’t benefit you, it only harms your body. You end up wasting a lot of money to feel hungover and unproductive the next day. That said if it’s something you need you can fit it into your diet as long as it fits your macros but I would say don’t consume any more than once every two weeks as it will get in the way of your results, let’s get into the details of why it’s bad for us.

Tell this to a 19-year-old student that spent his birthday in A&E with out evening going for a night out. I jumped off the bottom step in my university accommodation, hit my head on the ceiling and that was the end of my night. That really put me off alcohol if I wasn’t drinking most likely that would not have happened, short term affects just one or two drinks can cause blurred vision, slurred speech, loss of balance, slower reaction times, impaired memory. These effects disappear when drinking had stopped, but long term alcohol abuse may cause chronic brains disorders. I hope you found this article helpful and informative, remember don’t drink if you don’t want to it’s up to you, not others to decide for you.
